An equal number of two types of tomato plants (a normal one and a genetically modified
e) were planted in five different garden plots. The genetically modified plants produce a
protein that kills caterpillars when the plant is eaten. Each plant received the same amount
of water daily. The graph below shows the actual number of damaged tomatoes in each of
the five garden plots for both the normal plants and genetically modified plants.
