Part 2: Evaluating Credibility
In this part of the assignment, you will write a paragraph evaluating the credibility of
one of the primary sources you reviewed. Your paragraph should:
• Explain how to identify a historical source that is overly biased
•
Include an example of bias from either Lum May's testimony or James
Wickersham's letter
• Include evidence to describe whether bias affects the source's credibility about
the events of November 3, 1885
Your paragraph should be five sentences in length and include a topic sentence,
supporting details, and a concluding sentence. Also be sure to pay attention to
spelling and punctuation. Use the rubric to evaluate your response. This part of the
assignment is worth 10 points.
