It's a snow day! But just because everyone else is lounging or playing, that wont stop your hustle! You decide to make a few extra bucks by helping younger kids out at the
local sledding hill. You offer to drag them back up the hill after each run for $2 each time. You are extremely consistent and always use the same amount of force as you pull
up the hill. However, you start to notice that sometimes it takes longer than other times. Being an Honors Physics student, you decide to start collecting data. You look at
two variables - the age of the sledder and the time it takes you to pull them up the hill. Lo and behold, a pattern begins to emerge. You discover that it takes longer to pull
older kids up the hill!
Why does it take longer to pull some kids (usually the older ones) up the hill, even though you use the same amount of force?
