Now that you have completed the first two steps of this assignment, it is time to write your essay and submit the final project. You will write a 400-500 word biography on the president you chose.
Follow these steps to complete the project:
Step 1: Using your outline as a guide, write your essay. The essay needs to be written in your own words at the bottom of this document. Make sure you have addressed the following points within your essay.
Date and place of birth, family members, family life growing up
Marriage and children
First career, jobs, and any failures and/or accomplishments they had before becoming President.
Discussion of his religious faith
Accomplishments while President
Failures or scandals while President
Reason and date of death
Policies still in use today
Examples of how they have shown or failed to show biblical leadership
Step 2: Cite your three or more sources on a Works Cited page and with in-text citations. Use what you learned in the MLA format lesson to help you. The Works Cited page should go under your essay.
Step 3: After proofreading the biography and double-checking that it is in MLA format you can upload and submit the project for grading.
