Extracting dextromethorphan polistirex from delsym
I have taken some time to think through a hypothetical process for extracting DXM. To do this, I would use a 1000ml extraction funnel. First, I would pour a 5 oz bottle of delsym into the funnel and then add about the same amount of cold water. After thoroughly mixing them, I would wait approximately 5-6 hours to allow a couple of layers to form. The layer at the bottom should contain the DXM. Next, I would release the DXM from the funnel by turning the valve and letting it collect in a silicone tray positioned below. Finally, I would place the tray in a dehydrator to turn the substance into powder. Keep in mind that this is purely theoretical and should not be attempted.
