how did the new deal affect women, african americans, and native americans?

Sagot :

It affected both women and other minorities because it increased employment for them and at the same time lowering unemployment. Women and other minorities were all of a suuden able to join the war and get other jobs and in effect manny groups got richer for it.

President Roosevelt initiated a series of plans and schemes (known as the New Deal) during the Great Depression that intended to restore prosperity to Americans.

The New Deal had some positive as well as some negative impact on women and minorities. The positive impacts of the deal can be found in the fact that this deal provided some women with the opportunity to expand their political leadership, and to promote the rights of women. However, the negative impact of the new deal is that the New Deal did not allow for equal wages and did not fight to end gender discrimination in the workplace.

The lack of assistance provided to them led to the suffering of minorities such as  African Americans and Mexican immigrants.  The Conservative Democrats denied promoting the New Deal, that aimed to improve the conditions of the non- white minorities.

President Roosevelt in order to raise the living standards of the native American communities made major changes in long-standing policies. The Dawes act (1887) was introduced in this regard that divided the land of the natives into smaller plots. during the course of time, the Dawes Act result in the total landlessness for Natives.
