When the people from Europe that were pilgrims came to America during the winter, many starved and died because they were not familiar to the new land. The Indians showed them how to plant crops here and when the harvest season came, a celebration was held in the joy of this happiness that later became Thanksgiving day. Now we celebrate it to give thanks to our loved ones for all they do for us, as well as for all the good things we have in life. For the first time on June 20, 1998, in Bellevue, Ohio Dale Gasteier built at 52 foot shining star to celebrate the American Thanksgiving holiday.
