they were accustomed to the warm weather and working very hard. also the native americans were not as strong and died of a lot of sicknesses that the europeans brought over
If you think about it, Native Americans knew the land. I believe at first the European settlers in the New World tried to enslave them but to no avail. As for Africans being slaves it was perfect for the settlers because the blacks didn't know the land and they were easy to manipulate because the blacks most likely did not have an education.
