I wouldn't have because it would take lot of effort, work and time to dig of the gold and the chances of finding is low and if you leave far from California you have to walk for long period of time and you might even have to leave your families behind so it will slow you down, so basically if your a single person it would be beneficial because it can bring you the opportunity of finding it and adventure. I wouldn't because it would take a lot of time, might bring misfortune since your not doing a job and a waste of effort.
