Among these similarities we can mention that the most imposing is the existence of a forbidden love, as families do not support the relationship of young people, due to past intrigues. However, in both stories, young people defy this prohibition and find themselves hidden. Romeo and Juliet do this through a balcony, while Pyramus and Thisbe find themselves through a hole in the wall between their houses.

The similarities do not end there, since the two couples, in the name of their love for each other, decide to flee together, away from their families, so that they can be happy in their relationships, but a tragedy happens and everyone ends up dying, as a sacrifice for each other and the inability to live without the other.
