See, I was very attached to my mother and the idea of the little birdie going through all those horrible things before being able to find his mom, that had me in tears and I remember hiding the book.
The cat in the hat, well him I just found annoying and irresponsible. Green eggs and ham, my memory is fuzzy on this one, I don’t remember if I liked the rhymes and the overall idea or if I was disgusted by the green eggs.
