1. What is the solution to the system of equations?
4x + y = 2
x - y = 3
( , )
2. What is the solution to the system of equations?
x = 4y + 6
x - 3y = 4
( , )
3. Solve the given system, using the substitution method.
y = 3x – 7
6x – 2y = 12
A.
There is no solution.
B.
(12, 14)
C.
(14, 12)
D.
There are an infinite number of solutions.
4. Solve the given system, using the substitution method.
I can only do number 1 sorry :( 4x+y=2x-y what you have to do is sort the numbers into x and y so it becomes 4x - 2x = -y -y. (Remember when it crosses the = it becomes minus!) Then solve it to get 2x = -2y = 3 so x is 0.66 and y is -0.66 I guess? I am probably wrong because I am not good at algebra but good at other stuff
