During the American Revolution (the American Revolt for the English) most of the colonies tended to side with the Colonies' side because they felt that there was so much distinction between the two peoples even though those in the Colonies still considered to be English citizens, meaning that most of the Colonists were reluctant to help the British. However, some were still very loyal to the Crown and sided with the English forces and the King. These were referred to as Loyalists (also referred to as Tories) and they decided that during the American Revolution they wanted to side with the English. Early during the Revolution (or Revolt) the Colony of Georgia (most of them with some exceptions) were regarded as Loyalists, we can note this because King George himself called for the establishment of the Colony and it was named explicitly after him, but later the Colony sided with the forces of Colonies.
