At a distance of 1,000 ft from the pumping well, the drawdown was 40 ft; and at a distance of 5,000 ft it was 20 ft. Find the permeability (in ft/sec, and cm/sec) of the aquifer assuming that steady-state conditions prevail. (pay attention to the relation drawdown and head; use the formula I discussed in class).
