In 1516, the Ottoman Turks invaded and occupied Palestine. The Ottoman Empire ruled Palestine for 402 years from 1517 until 1917. Later, in the upcoming years, Palestine was captured by the Egyptian Governor Muhammad Ali who sent his troops under the command of his son Ibrahim Pasha in order to invaded and occupy Palestine.
