You will want to pick a historical event connected to one of the texts that you read. For example, you could choose slavery as it is the historical context for 12 Years a Slave. Your goal is to explain how the context affected the text. Your answer to this question will be your thesis. You will need to have text evidence to support. You do not need to record any audio for your presentation. I would recommend doing some outside research on slavery and then connecting that to examples that you find in the text.
