Discuss the change in attitudes toward various ethnic groups during World War II, such as Indians, Mexican-Americans, and Asian-Americans. How were they treated
Asian Americans were treated with hostility following the attack on Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. Indians and Mexican-Americans were treated with the usual disdain and were viewed as “savages” and “uneducated”, even though Navajo code talkers aided the war effort in the pacific and should have been shown the respect they deserved.
