In my community, the safe delivery of a mother is always a joyous event. The childbirth is an important celebration because a new life is added to the family.

The celebration start right from the delivery center where the nurses and doctors congratulate the new mother and the mother I'm return gifts them snacks and drinks.

The celebration continues at home when the mother and child is discharged from the hospital, well wishes visits then with gifts such as diapers, baby clothes etc. The well wishers also gets snacks and drinks for coming.

On the 8th day of the childbirth, a cleric is invited to name the child. Different kinds of food is prepared for those who came to witness the ceremony.
