CAUSE-the boston tea party angered British leaders
EFFECT-a new set of laws passed to punish the colonists. the laws passed were called the coercive acts or intolerable because the people were forced to obey. the blockade at boston harbor stopped Ma legislature from making laws, forcing colonists to feed and house british soldiers
