#1 is a bad thing about absolute monarchy because people within the monarchy have no say on who gets to be the leader. They are mainly governed by family, and go down a lineage. Not allowing the people to choose a leader can lead to negative rebellion.

#2 is a bad thing because while they have a stronger military than most , they can use that strong military against the people.  They can use the military to enforce laws, or beliefs that the general population wouldn't agree on.
