Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system consists of what three key factors? What
roles do they each play in medical emergencies?
-Community resources, medical personnel and you. Community resources are important as
they may provide you with information that may be extremely useful regarding a medical
emergency such as free paramedic training, first aid training, AED training, etc. Medical
personal are the individuals that have the professional knowledge that we rely on when
dealing with a medical emergency. We ourselves are extremely important in emergencies as
well, as we may be the first on the scene and by being the first on the scene we must have
the necessary knowledge to know what to do to ensure the appropriate steps to ensure
everyone safety in an emergency situation.
-Police officers, EMT, and Fire Dept. Police officers take care of traffic situations. EMT's and
the fire department take care of any medical emergencies.
-Medical personnel, Community resources, and police officers. Medical personnel take care of
the victims. Community resources help to give us any local facilities to help provide medical
assistance. Police officers give primary care to the victims until medical professionals arrive.
-None of the above.
