A tart contains either 3 white, or 4 red, or 5 black cherries.

A tray of 20 tarts contains 89 cherries.

How many more tarts with black cherries than tarts with white cherries are on the tray?

Sagot :

Hi I did a plug and play because I don’t know how else to do it.
So I started adding numbers till the tarts equal 20 and then the cherries in the tarts equals 89.

11tarts times* 5cherries is 55 black cherries
7tarts times * 4 cherries is 28 red cherries
2tarts Times* 3 cherries is 6 white cherries
20 tarts and 89 cherries

So with the information☝️in the constraints that makes the statement true above... There are 9 more black tarts on tray than white.
