Inverses are your friends, for example to get [tex]n - 3 = 0[/tex] where n is on one side, do the inverse of subtraction ( addition) so you get [tex]n - 3 + 3 = 3 \\\\n = 3[/tex]
[tex]-7 = \frac{n}{4} - 3 \\-4 = \frac{n}{4}\\n = -16[/tex]
[tex]-13 = 5y + 7 \\-6 = 5y \\[/tex]
On "y" there is a coefficient of 5, aka [tex]5*y[/tex], the inverse of multiplication is division
[tex]\frac{-6}{5} = y[/tex]
[tex]-6 + \frac{x}{2} = -3\\ \frac{x}{2} = 3 \\x = 6[/tex]
You finish the rest, but you gotta remember this, isolate the variable (x, y, z, whatever) by doing inverses
