Assignment Summary
For this assignment, you will create a multimedia presentation on two careers that
interest you.
Useful references for gathering this information are listed at the end of this
document. Your presentation should include a title slide, eight slides representing
information for your two career interests, and a works-cited slide.
Assignment Instructions
Step 1: Gather materials and necessary information.
a) Use resources listed at the end of this document to create your multimedia
presentation on two of your career interests.
b) Keep a list of your references so that you can cite them later.
c) Ask your teacher where you should save your presentation as you work on it.
Your teacher may also have specific guidelines about the file name you
should use.
Step 2: Create your title slide.
a) Begin by creating the title slide. On this slide, include the title of your
presentation, your name, your teacher’s name, and the due date of the
presentation.
b) Remember to save your work as you go.
Step 3: Provide information for Career 1.
a) Create a slide titled Career Requirements for [Insert Career 1] (Example:
Career Requirements for Librarians).
b) Write a definition for this career in the left column. Create a bulleted list of
requirements for this career in the right column. Add a related picture to the
slide if room permits.
c) Create a slide titled Current Status for [Insert Career 1].
d) Create a bulleted list describing at least three pieces of information about your
current status that are relevant and helpful toward this career. Add a related
picture to the slide if room permits.
e) Create a slide titled Intermediate Goals for [Insert Career 1].
f) Create a bulleted list of at least three intermediate goals that will move you
from your current status toward achieving your ultimate career goal. For each
goal listed, state how long it will be until you expect to accomplish that goal.

g) Create a slide titled Analyzing Obstacles for [Insert Career 1].
h) Create a bulleted list of at least three obstacles you may face when moving
toward your ultimate career goal. For each obstacle listed, list at least one way
