Animals might not need anything special, making them easier to handle, which makes them more important. One simple slip-up, and you could erase an entire species! Second of all, animals come in all shapes and sizes. Taking their needs into consideration means helping them, and some of these animals actually help the Earth. For example, the bee. We all know that being stung by one is sure painful. But what do they actually do? They pollinate flowers and turn the pollen into nectar; which is later on turned into honey. Which also helps other animals that rely on other prey a better option for food. Without a bee doing it's job, flowers can't be pollinated properly, and animals would lose certain avenues for food.
