As it is a special day for children the slum children are deprived of festivities at home. This provided a gala celebration with all the eatables. After a child pinned a Rose Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru started wearing on his Shirt/Jacket. The national children’s center, Jawahar Bal Bhavan is also named after Jawaharlal Nehru. It is celebrated all over India especially at the School level. On that day children need not wear uniform. Cultural programme, singing, sports competitions are held. Children enjoy themselves on that day being a blessed childhood.
Children took active part in celebrations. Competitions were held. Some of them won prizes. Parents are also very happy to see their children participating in the celebration.
