In the 1918 flu pandemic, why did more teenagers and young adults die than other
age groups?

I believe it's four, scientifically speaking a young person most likely wouldn't die of infection because their immune systems can fight off the infection to some degree. But if the young person was the caretaker of someone who was/is infected, the younger person is more susceptible to getting an infection and dying because there is no one there to take care of them when they get infected.
