When the cells within the brain starts swelling, they cause pressure within the brain. you'll start experiencing problems like confusion, drowsiness, and headaches. If this pressure increases it can cause conditions like hypertension (High Blood Pressure) and bradycardia (Low Heart Rate). Sodium is that the electrolyte most plagued from overhydration, leading to a condition known as hyponatremia. Sodium could also be considered as an important element that helps keep the balance of fluids in and also out of cells. When the levels start dropping because of a high amount of water within the body, fluids get inside the cells. Then the cells start to swell, putting you in the risk of getting seizures, going into a coma, maybe dying.
So, one should not consume more water while doing strenuous activity.
