Sagot :
The evolutionary timeline depicts the stages of human development from the early man to the current Homo sapiens. There were seven developmental stages leading to Homo sapiens.
What are developmental stages?
Developmental stages are the evolutionary journey that leads to the creation of the modern human species from its ancestors. Dryopethicus is considered the first species of the Hominidae family that looked like humans and were the ancestors.
They were developed and succeeded in Australopithecus with different species names. The first upright-walking species was called Australopithecus ramidus, which was later succeeded by Australopithecus afarensis.
The human-like teeth and bipedal organism were later succeeded into Australopithecus africanus. The last Australopithecus species was robustus which was followed by the genus Homo.
Before Homo sapiens, there were two homo species namely, habilis, and erectus. They had familiar faces and postures compared to the modern human species.
Therefore, there were seven different evolutionary stages before the origin of the Homo sapiens.
