What is institutional racism?

It corresponds to the practice of racist acts in public and private institutions of society, such as in companies, universities and the police for example, being a system that is not based on equity in relation to citizens, but on discrimination based on race.

Institutional racism is motivated by structural racism, which is rooted in American society according to history, where blacks were brought from Africa to work in slavery in the English colonies, without protection of their human and civil rights, in addition to suffering violence and persecution.

American history shows that racism is a fact that leads to the loss of opportunities and equality for black people, being perceived by crime rates, jobs and social status.
