The term pollution has to do with the introduction of harmful material and energy into the environment. We know that the burning of fossil fuels is one of the chief sources of pollution in the environment. This is can be seen from the images attached.
The burning of fossil fuels introduces carbon dioxide into the environment which in turn causes the temperature of the earth to rise. This is the situation that we call global warming.
The greatest concern of the earth is to ensure that the carbon burden is reduced and that the emission of the carbon to the atmosphere is mitigated in order to reduce the impact of this carbon on the earth.
Thus, the burning of fossil fuels is a threat to the environment.
