on a mountain farm on middle fork (error. now known to be morris fork) of blue creek in an obscure spot of tangled blackberry vines and old leaf mold are three graves. the long grave is that of jake pinson who once owned the farm. the two short graves are those of his two small children, philip and bythe pinson who died with him and were buried on the same day, 99 years ago. few know the graves are there and the story of the tragedy that took their lives and which was for years a folktale of the region seems about to vanish forever in the mist of time.
