Antifederalists criticized the United States Constitution primary because governing power was concentrated largely in the hands of the federal government. The Antifederalists wanted more power to be given to the states rather than to the national government which was supported by the Federalists.
Anti-Federalists were against the US Constitution because they believed that the new Constitution created a strong central government that had the capacity of becoming a tyranny.
