Can newtons laws be used to find a spring constant? I know about Hookes law but I’m curious if any of newtons can be used too

Sagot :

Spring is an example of observing Newton's third law.

If we compress the spring, the spring exerts a force as a reaction.

Force applied is directly proportional to the spring's displacement. This is in accordance with Hooke's law.

Thus, Newton's law is helpful in explaining the restoring nature of Hooke's law.
