Explanation;

From figure we can draw conclusion that

[tex]\begin{gathered} DE+EF=DF \\ 7+4x+3=5x+7 \\ x=3 \end{gathered}[/tex]

So, length of DF

[tex]\begin{gathered} =5x+7 \\ =5(3)+7 \\ =15+7 \\ =22 \end{gathered}[/tex]
