There are total five High Courts in Pakistan having more than 50 judges including Chief Justice and administrative stuff in one court.
A High Court may issue rules governing the practice and procedure of the Court or of any court within its jurisdiction, subject to the Constitution and the legislation. Each High Court has oversight and management of all courts that fall under it.
There must be fundamental divisions between trial and appellate courts, general and limited jurisdiction courts, and criminal and civil courts.
For the purpose of upholding fundamental rights as well as for any other reason, each High Court has the authority to issue any person within its jurisdiction with directives, orders, or writs, including writs of habeas corpus, mandamus, prohibition, quo warranto, and certiorari.
