How do you find the domain and range of a square root graph?

Sagot :

Domain and range of a square root graph is  [0, ∞) and  [0, ∞) respectively.

Domain of a function:

The domain of a function is the set of input values (x) for which it produces an output value.

Range of a function:

The set of all output values of a function.

Like if we consider a function [tex]y = f(x)[/tex]

then input inside function that is x is know as domain of function

output of function that is y is known as range of function.

First we write square root function as y = [tex]\sqrt{x}[/tex]

So inside root negative numbers are not allowed so value of x should be positive numbers  means x>=0.

So domain of square root function [0, ∞).

Output of square root function is always positive so range of square root function is also [0,∞).
