One benefit is that they improved damages for the items that were being transported. It was so much easier than horseback riding, stage coaches, and the buggies. It was much safer to drive in also. The railroad and railway were also easier to drive on. It linked to better lives and the growing area.
One of the important things, the Louisiana Purchase became the most important think in the West.
