If this is a in depth paper about revenge then you have several ways you can go. Depending on if you are writing about whether revenge is good or not depends on how you tackle the thesis statement issue. Remember that the thesis is at the end of the paper and what you put in that last sentence helps you form the body of your paper.
Example: revenge as being a bad thing:
Throughout life people will hurt us emotionally and sometimes physically. Thesis statement: it is quite natural for one to seek revenge, however; it is not the best solution because an innocent person could get hurt if they accidently get in the way, it is not good for your health, and finally, _____________. Fill in the blank. Make sure that when you do create a thesis that you have good sources to back the statements. Since this is just an example I gave I don't have evidence to back my statement.
I just gave one example because I quite honestly cannot think of how revenge is good for someone.
