Angela has 24 golf balls and 18 golf clubs. She wants to sell packages of balls and paddles bundled together. What is the greatest number of packages she can sell with no leftover balls or clubs

What you need to do here is find the greatest common factor. This would be the highest number you can get that divides two numbers equally. To find the GREATEST common factor of two numbers, you need to start by finding their FACTORS. Their PRIME factors.

Primes are numbers that can't be divided into with wholes. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23...etc.

24 = 3 × 2 × 2 × 2
18 = 3 × 3 × 2

Now we take out all of the prime factors that the numbers share. That would be a 2 and a 3.
2 × 3 = 6, so the greatest number of similar packages would be 6.
