How and why did the failure of the Treaty of Versailles (reparations and war guilt clause) lead to World War II?

Sagot :

The treaty of Versailles mainly targeted the Germans. For example the reparations they had to pay and the war guilt clause and the fact that they had to give up land and decrease the power of their army etc. This led to Germany suffering a long and hard depression, where the German currency's value drastically dropped. The depression got really bad and people of Germany were desperate for work so when Hitler came along with a convincing plan that would restore prosperity in Germany people didn't hesitate to support him or question his intentions and his tactics which ended up affecting the world- leading up to World War II.
