I just did this problem ^-^. The equation would be 5x=x²-36. Get all the terns on one side so then its equal to zero. Solve by grouping the first 2 terms n d other 2 term . You should get (x-9)(x+4) then set each equal to 0. X=9 x=-4
the other person that answered it had it all right, EXCEPT, he forgot to plug in the zeros back into the equation. The zero's -4 and 9 plug into the equation 5x= x^ 2- 36, but only 9 fits the equation properly, making -4 a extraneous solution.
