Introduction

In this module, you studied the impact of industrialization and the rise of nationalism in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Europe. This span of 200 years was marked by revolutions of many kinds. Agriculture and industry were forever changed. New economic systems were defined, and new nations were created.

In this activity, you'll explore different aspects of the time period. First, you'll get a refresher on important people, events, and concepts. Then you'll examine primary sources related to child labor during the nineteenth century. Finally, you'll explain the growth of nationalism in Europe and how it led to the unification of Italy and Germany.
