Explanation:
This book was written by Malala yousafzai and Christian Lamb. It was published on 8 October 2013. In recognition of her courage and advocacy, Malala was honoured with the National Peace prize in Pakistan in 2011 and International Children's Peace Prize in 2013.
The story is about a girl named Malala yousafzai who was from Swat Valley where the girls were not allowed for school. There was freedom for boys only. Many girls of her age didn't go to school as they didn't have their family support. Incase of her, parents were supportive for her education that could change the mindset of her suppressed society. Since her father was an activist, he had to visit many places for political speeches and Malala used to join him, later she also became an activist. Mostly, her speeches and interviews were for the right of a girl to education. As she was against Taliban. On Tuesday 9 October, she almost paid the ultimate price. Shot in the head at point-blank range while riding the bus home from school, she was not expected to survive. Instead her recovery was very miraculous.
Her main goal in writing this book was to raise her voice on behalf of the millions of girls around the world who are being denied their right to go to school and make them realise their potential.
