Sagot :
The cell has a special kind of molecule for storing that energy and it's called ATP. ATP (Adenosine tri-phosphate) is an important molecule found in all living things. It is also called the "energy currency" of the cell.
ATP is the source of energy for the use and storage at the cellular level. ATP is consumed for energy in processes including ion transport, muscle contraction, nerve impulse propagation, substrate phosphorylation, and chemical synthesis. ATP is formed from the process of cellular respiration in the mitochondria of a cell. This can be through aerobic respiration, which requires oxygen, or anaerobic respiration, which does not. Aerobic respiration produces ATP (along with carbon dioxide and water) from glucose and oxygen.
