It means "After that, therefore on account of that".
It's a label given to the particular error in logic where we decide that something
happened after a certain even, so the event must have caused it.
Examples:
-- I have this gold ring that I keep in my pocket. I get up early
every morning and I rub the ring three times, and within a few
minutes, the sun rises. I feel good that I'm able to do so much
for the world, especially for roosters, surfers, and farmers.
-- My cousin's pediatrician's mailman's barber used to get a lot of
kidney stones. Four years ago, he started drinking a cup of lemon
juice every day, and he hasn't had any more since then. I'm going to
write and tell Dr. Oz about this new miracle cure.
